"Okay, I know you would tell us if it was something bad," Rosalie admitted. But still Rosalie couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

Alice smiled at the blonde, "Thanks, Rose. Really, don't worry. Everything will turn out fine."

'If only I could see that,' she thought sadly. 'I hate lying to Rose, but she shouldn't worry so much....'

"Are you totally sure that's what you saw?" Emmett looked into Alice's eyes earnestly. "You know you can tell us the truth about anything, Al. Was it really about Bella?"

Jasper closed the book, got off his bed, and placed the book on the shelf. It had taken a while to read, but the time away from the others had been worth it, Lost Souls was a good book, albeit a little messed up. Okay, it was VERY messed up, but it was still good. He sped downstairs to see Alice, Emmet and Rosalie in a somewhat serious conversation. "What's this about a vision of Bella, now?" he said in his uniquely stoic voice.

Alice turned around to see Jasper. "Nothing, Jazz. She jumped off a cliff with Jacob again," she quickly thought of a lie. "I'm just telling Rose and Em not to worry,' she glared at Rosalie and Emmett.

"Ya, Alice promised it wasnt anything bad." Rosalie said. Rosalie was starting to think that Alice might be lying to them.

"It ISN'T anything bad," Alice widened her wide, innocent looking eyes. "She'll be with Jacob, Bella will be safe...Just don't panic, we don't want to upset Edward with this news."

"And you're positive this is about Bella, Alice?" Emmett asked. "You were spaced out for an awfully long time to just watch a couple of teens cliff diving. Sure there wasn't anything else you saw?"

"You're right Emmett, she was spaced out for a long time. Alice, how can we be sure you're not lying to us?" Rosalie asked. 'Alice please be telling the truth, I really don't want to think that you were lying to me.'

"It was a really long jump," Alice defended herself. "And I had to make sure Bella made it out alive, didn't I?"

'Please shut up Rosie, please shut up!' she begged desperately in her mind.

"But remember you can't see the werewolves. So how in the world would you know that Bella's even cliff diving with them?" Rosalie asked accusingly.

'Dammit!' Alice frowned as she realized her inevitable demise. "Fine, you really wanna know, Rosalie?" she asked, more than a little upset. "It doesn't have anything to do with you..."

"Yes I still want to know, it just won't matter as much." Rosalie said. 'Alice you know I care about you but I'm getting pissed off with you lying to me like that.'

"Fine!" Alice yelled. "I didn't wanna tell you guys because I didn't want to believe it, but it's true...I might leave Jasper."

She looked at Jasper pitifully, wondering what his reaction would be. 'Please don't be too mad, Jazzles...'

Jasper remained quiet for a few seconds. After wards, he was barely able to stammer a "w-what..?" His eyes were widened.

Alice crossed over to where Jasper stood and took his hand in hers, saying apologetically, "I'm sorry...we should have talked in private first...you know I love you, right?"

She bit her lip anxiously as she awaited his response, feeling horrible about the situation.

Jasper nodded solemnly. "Yes, I know but your visions, well they have a damned tendency to be true, and now I'm worried," he said. Without another word, he hugged her tightly. "Please, don't leave me."

Alice hugged him back, looking as if she was about to cry, "I'm sorry Jazz, but I don't know if I have a choice...Just, don't let me out of your sight. I don't want to find myself at a Port Angeles nightclub looking for vamp hunters."

Rosalie watched Alice and Jasper walking away in stunned silence. 'Alice leaving Jasper? But how? They love each other so much! What's wrong? Is Alice lying?' Rosalie thought frantically.

Jasper briefly broke the hug to look into Alice's eyes.
"Alright, I guess I'm gonna have to stick to you like glue, then," he said as he lightly kissed her.

Alice kissed him back cautiously, wondering what she was going to do. "Jazz, what if...what if I decided to go away to think?" She gazed into his eyes. "Would you be willing to tag along?"

Emmett shrugged nonchalantly. "I know Al, she'll make the right decision in the end. She knows better than to get involved with anyone else...Jasper would kill him. Or her," he amended, wondering who Alice was chasing. "Who do you think it is?"
