In the mall

"Well, it's not entirely your fault." Laura explained. "Because there are so many different personalities in my body, I have a somewhat enhanced sense of surrounding. You could call it like I have a set of 'eyes' on each side of my head. It's how I noticed you were staring at me." Referring to Alice.

"Oh, I didn't think I was staring," Alice smiled sheepishly. "I was just curious, you know?"

"Too curious," Jasper murmured. "And looks like you're not the only one with enhanced vision, Al."

"Shut up!" she slapped Jasper's hand she was holding.

"Well, since I was a little self conscious to begin with, it felt like it." Laura paused. "You guys are lucky..." she muttered under her breath.

"Lucky?" Alice was curious, "What do you mean?"

"Lucky," Jasper snorted with disbelief. "Oh yes, craving blood for all eternity just screams good fortune."

"No! Not about that!" Laura quickly disregarded the thought. "I mean... you have someone and..." She trailed off after that.

Jasper looked over at Alice, who looked as though she would be blushing if she could. "Yeah, I guess we are pretty lucky, right, Al?"

"Oh yes, having to put up with you for over sixty years, that is luck," Alice teased, then turned her attention back to Laura, "You'll find someone, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure."

"Despite the fact you can't see her future," Jasper quietly reminded her. "What are you going to do, hunt down every available guy in Forks?"

"Maybe," Alice admitted.

"You really don't need to do that. I'd just need to find a guy who can accept...... all of us." Laura's voice kind of dropped during the last part of her 'I need to do this myself' line.

"That's quite a criteria," Jasper commented.

"I'm sure you can find a guy who'll love all of you," Alice smiled, "Are you sure I don't have to go through every guy in Forks? It could be fun."

"Well, if you want to, that's your business. And if in doing so you find me a boyfriend, that's fine by me!" Laura smiled, happiness returning to her face once more.

"Awesome! Boy shopping!" Alice cheered as Jasper frowned disapprovingly.

"Should I feel upset by your reaction?" he asked, somewhat hurt.

"Jazzles, I've been with you for sixty one years, and you still get jealous?" she was appalled.

"A bit," he admitted.

"Silly Jazzle dazzle," Alice shook her head. "Let's move on, shall we?"

"Oh wow... You guys are funny...!" Laura laughed and went along with Alice's quickly thrown together plan.

'What. The Hell. Just happened?' 'I think Alice is taking us boy shopping.' 'I got THAT, but what was caused her to come to this extreme conclusion?' 'Just go along with it! It might be fun!'

"Funny?" Alice chuckled, amused by Laura's comment. "That's a first. Let's go!"

With that outburst, Alice stood up and began walking towards the exit, dragging Jasper and Laura with her. "The mall closes in only eight hours! What kind of boys do you like?"

"Is it really necessary to find one today? I've been here for a week! My dad might kill me." Laura semi objected.

"She's got a point, Al," Jasper agreed, not wanting to watch his wife boy shop.

"Oh, fine," Alice pouted when she realized that neither wanted to boy shop. "You're no fun, you know that?"

"Isn't that why you married me to begin with?" Jasper joked.

"No, I married you because you had money," she teased.

"I'm amazed you haven't used all of it shopping."

"I'm not that bad, am I?"

"I never said that I didn't want to boy shop! I just said I didn't want a boyfriend TODAY." Laura stuck out her tongue. "If I go on a couple of dates, it wouldn't be horrible~!"

"Alright," Alice grinned. "You never did answer my question: what kind of guys do you like?"

Jasper groaned inwardly, anticipating how awkward this was going to get. "Aliiiiiiiice, do we have to go boy shopping?"

"Yes, Jazzles," she frowned at him. "You're not taking down my happy vibe."

"Not yet," he muttered.

"Well, I've never known what I've been looking for. I've... Never been asked out, actually. Shocking, I know. Even though I think I look good, the MPD turns guys off for some reason." Laura joked.

Alice laughed breezily, "I can't imagine why."

Jasper chuckled, hoping that this lack of information would stop Alice. He should have known that Alice Cullen was unstoppable. "Let's go to Hot Topic," she suggested, knowing there would be guys there to check out.

"Do we have a choice?" Jasper asked, knowing the answer.

"Yes, Jazzle, either you agree with me, or I'm leaving you here," she smiled angelically.

"Well, I have no objections so, sorry Jasper but looks like you're coming with us!" Laura had no problem with going to Hot Topic. It's where she gets her nail polish and clothes sometimes.

"Awesome!" Alice grabbed Jasper's hand and began pulling him towards Hot Topic as she walked alongside Laura. "This'll be so much fun! I love all the Gir stuff they have there, he's so adorable!"

"Sometimes I wonder if you love him more than me," Jasper grumbled.

"Of course I do," Alice joked, "But, seeing as Gir's a fictional character, I had to settle for second best, right?"

'Oh god... what did I get myself into?' 'You did it, not me.' 'Wait, that's a CUTE pair of pants!' Laura went over to a pair of neon green pants. 'Seriously? Whatever.'

"Oh my God, GIR!" Alice immediately went off to the Gir merchandise, mission forgotten. "Isn't he just adorable, Jazzles?"

"Right, adorable," Jasper rolled his eyes as he walked off to look at CDs. 'Cool, they have some new MCR stuff,' he thought as he looked over the various CDs.

"What do you think?" Alice asked as she picked up a Gir doll, failing to notice that Jasper had left. When he didn't respond, she looked up, expecting to see him directly in her line of sight. She saw him over by the CDs and ignored him, walking to the opposite side of the store to stand by Laura, "Those are amazing pants! I think they'd look good on you."

"You think so? I might get stared at..." Laura said.

'And now the shy side of Laura has reared its head once again.' 'STFU.'

"So? Sometimes it's good to get a little attention every now and then," Alice encouraged. "Besides, do you really care about what everyone else thinks?"

Laura blushed. "Well... sort of. When I got diagnosed with MPD, it felt like everyone was judging me before they met me. It's a bit of a curse, eh?"
