In the mall

"I know what you mean," Alice nodded. "But with an amazing wardrobe, people tend to forget stuff like that."

"Which is why Alice is such a shopaholic," Jasper appeared out of nowhere, smiling.

"Maybe," Alice admitted.

"You know what? That's crazy." Laura started. "So crazy it just might work! Gimme those pants!"

"Told you so," Alice muttered to Jasper, who shrugged. It wasn't the first time Alice was right, and it probably wouldn't be the last, especially if it was about girlie things.

'As long as I have my music, I'm happy,' he internally smiled.

"Ooh, what'd you get?" Alice asked as she stole the CDs out of his hands. "MCR?"

"Yeah, got a problem with it?"

"No, I'm just thinking about stealing this CD from you and putting it on my iPod," Alice then turned her attention back to Laura and her neon green pants, "So you're getting them? Cool!"

"Yeah, they're pretty cool, so why shouldn't I get them?" Laura also chose a backpack and a Fred wristband.

'Hey, why didn't you get that awesome pair of Chucks?' 'Because you already got a pair of shoes.'

"That's the spirit," Alice nodded approvingly, then realized she was still holding the Gir doll. "Oh...what am I going to do with you?" she muttered as she walked back over to where she got the doll. Jasper followed her, wondering what her designs for the doll were. She put him back gently, "I already have a Gir doll, I don't need another one."

"Alice, this will have been the second store in which you've bought absolutely nothing," Jasper was worried about her.

Alice flashed him a bright smile and picked up a glitter eyeliner. "There, I'm buying something. Are you happy now?"

"Sure," Jasper agreed, looking around the store. "Let's go check out."

"Alrighty," Alice walked up to the register and paid for her glitter eyeliner.

"Would you like a bag, ma'am?" the clerk asked.

"No, thank you," she politely declined as she took the eyeliner and slipped it into her purse.

Jasper bought his CDs, and Alice's eyes widened, "I think this is the first time you've ever bought more stuff than me at any store."

"Finally, I outbuy the insane Alice Cullen!" Jasper cheered.

Laura payed for the items she had chosen and followed Alice and Jasper. "Well, I like the pants, anyway. Where to next?"

"Claire's?" Alice looked hopefully at Jasper, who shuddered in terror.

"Fine, fine, just make it quick," he pleaded. Alice smiled and began skipping towards the infernal store filled with happiness and sparkles and whatnot, keeping a fast hold on Jasper's hand so he couldn't escape.

"It won't be that bad," she said, "And stop trying to mess with my happy vibe!"

Jasper immediately stopped trying to make Alice feel depressed, realizing that she was just too happy. 'Damn pixie emotions.'

'Damn emo emotions,' Alice thought as she continued on her merry way to Claire's, needing some new hairbands.

'Lauraaaa! This is a great chance for me to get that splatter paint hat that I wanted!' 'The one you saw my 8 year old cousin wear?' 'YEAH!' 'Uhh.... no. I'll accept the splatter paint suspenders, not the hat.' 'Blehh...' Laura followed the bubbly girl and emo boy into the store.

"Can't you try to be not so depressed while we're here?" Alice asked Jasper as she looked through the hairbands, trying to find some that weren't pink and sparkly.

"It's a girls' store," he hissed through his teeth, "Even worse, it's a pre-teen girls' store."

"It's not so young," she countered as she picked up a black hairband with a rose attached to it. "What do you think?"

"It's wonderful, just like you are. Can we go now?" he was getting impatient.

"Mmm, not yet," Alice disagreed as she sauntered to the earring section.

"Alice, what are you doing? Your ears aren't even pierced," Jasper asked.

"We could change that," she said, somewhat hurt.

"How? We're freaking vampires!" he argued.

"Sh, not so loud!" she quieted him. "I'll think of something."

"Whatever," Jasper muttered. 'We have marble-like skin, how is she going to pierce her ears? Damn pixie optimism.'

Laura tried to find the place where the suspenders were. 'Hey, isn't that them over there?' 'Where?' 'There!' Luna took control and walked over to where the suspenders were. 'And they have the hat!' 'NOOOOOOOO. Do not want!'

"You're just jealous," Alice informed Jasper as they walked over to the checkout.

"Right...jealous of you," Jasper snorted as Alice paid for her things.

"Hey, it could happen," Alice shrugged. "Sometimes I get jealous of Emmett."

"Em? Why?" Jasper was shocked.

"Because he's tall and people take him seriously," Alice explained. "Nobody takes me seriously because I'm too adorable."

"True enough," Jasper agreed.

"You weren't supposed to agree with me," Alice muttered as she walked over to Laura. Jasper merely grinned and followed her.

Laura picked up the colorful pair of suspenders and started towards the register but ran into Alice. "Oh, hey! Look at what I got!" She held up the color.

"Very nice," Alice smiled, happy for Laura, but she knew that she and Jasper were thinking the same thing, 'Rainbow splattered suspenders? Oh God...'

True, they weren't thinking the exact same thing, but they were thinking roughly the same thing. What Alice was thinking was, 'Oh my, they sure are....colorful. What will she wear them with?' What Jasper thought was, 'AH! THE COLORS! IT BURNS! IT BURNS!'

Alice stepped lightly on Jasper's foot to prevent him from saying anything. He felt the subtle warning and prudently kept his mouth shut.

"Before you say anything," Laura began. "I bought this because of the colors and may wear it on Halloween. It was either this or the hat." she said, motioning to the the hat area.

"Oh..." Alice was quiet, contemplating that. "Don't say anything, Jazzles."

Jasper sighed. Sometimes it really sucked to have a psychic for a wife.

"Even though I feel this is one of the things I'll buy then never wear, it's still fun to look at! Think of it as a work of art!" Luna took over for Laura mid sentence.

'Luna... I was realizing how stupid this thing was and was about to put it back.' 'Exactly why I stopped you! You were about to ruin the purchase of a lifetime!' 'Lifetime of ridicule!'

Laura took over once again. "Alice, please take this from me before Luna makes me buy it! I IMPLORE you!"

"Sure," Alice said uncertainly as she took the colorful garment from Laura, somewhat confused. She placed the clothing item away, and turned back to Laura, "Now what? Are you ready to leave?"

"Yeah. I just realized I was out of money anyway. That's the end of my shopping day." Laura stretched, her back and elbows cracking. "Ok... that kind of hurt."

'That was really loud.' 'Yep.' 'Think we can go back to the boy hunt?' Luna asked with excitement. 'It depends on if Alice wants to.'

"Hey Alice! Since we are done here, can we continue our quest for a date for me?" Luna vocalized her request. 'Luna.... you really are the special one.' 'Thanks!'

"Alrightie," Alice agreed. "But you never really answered my question...what kind of guy do you all like?"

'Well, Logan shouldn't be too hard to boy shop for,' she went through all the personalities in her head, 'Luna should be easy as well...but Liliana and Luna...this'll be fun!'

"Hmm..... Never thought about it before........ Would you excuse us for a moment?" Luna asked.

'Ok guys... what should we say?' 'No idea.' 'Is this a multiple choice question?' 'Oh yeah. And if you get the answers right, you get a piece of candy.' 'REALLY?!' 'No.'

"Well... It might be better to talk to each of us one at a time." "Plus it's hard for anyone to describe 'the perfect guy', you know? Let alone 4 identities sharing the same body." Lily explained. "I guess I'll go first though. So... Shoot."

"Um, do you like the bad boy? Prep? Nerd? What?" Alice interrogated, trying to get a feel for what kind of guy Lily liked. Lily seemed to be the quietest one, and Alice wondered what sort of man she was into. 'Ha, watch her turn out to be the lesbian of the group,' she mentally chuckled.

Lily thought for a moment. "Well... Common sense, for one. That is one thing I won't budge on. I don't want ugly, but not so good looking to the point of narcissism. Some sense of style, don't care what kind. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible."

'You know you aren't giving her much to work with, right?' 'Yeah. It's fun to get surprises, right? Plus I wanna make it harder for her to find someone! Made it gender neutral too.' 'Wow.... I'm impressed Lily. Your sadistic side came through! Can't wait for her to find a girl and you be all like 'noes! I don't like the wimmins!' and all that stuff.' 'Huh? No. The gender doesn't matter as long as I like them.' 'As long as you're happy.'

'Well, that's not too hard...' Alice thought optimistically. 'I can do that!'

"Let's go to Forever 21, maybe there will be someone you like," she said as she grabbed Lily's hand, dragging her to the exit.

"Woah!" Lily wasn't expecting that.

'She may not look it, but she's strong!' 'Yeah.' 'Seriously? Forever 21?' 'Calm down! It'll be an adventure, Logan! It'll be an adventure!' 'Ok, I mean it. No more Charlie references.' 'You're no fun....' 'I know.'

Alice smiled at Lily's exclamation, "You should've expected it, I AM a vampire."

She walked on to Forever 21, and began people watching as she shopped, "Well? What do you think?" Alice held up a blouse, but they both knew what she really meant.
