A New Vampire in Forks

Roberto walked along the small Main Street of Forks, WA; a town where other vampires like him were supposed to live.
'Where can I find them?' he thought to himself. He knew their first names; Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, Edward, Bella, and Renesmee.
"So how would I go about finding them...?" he asked himself, sighing.

Alice was walking down the street, enjoying the scenery, when she saw him. Pale, alone, he seemed like one of them. She approached him cautiously. "Um, hello there."

What am I thinking? He's probably just another goth kid, she told herself.

Then explain that vision I had last week of meeting him? Alice retorted to the voice in her head.

ROberto looked up, smiling softly before nodding his head. "Buon girono, sinrooa." he said. He looked at her carefully; the golden eyes, pale skin, dark hair.... "Are you Alice Cullen? A friend told me about your family."

"Yes, I am. Who are you and how do you know my name?" Alice asked, a bit confused. How does he know who I am? I'm the psychic one here, not him, she pondered. She took in his topaz eyes and realized he was vegetarian like her family. Well, that's good, I'm so sick of protecting all the humans around here, she thought. What am I doing here, talking to a stranger? Why didn't I decide to take someone along with me on my walk? she regretted her stupidity.

"My friend would be Luxia bianchi." said Roberto, matter-of0factly. He smiled warmly before chjuckling. "Guess I shouldn't be so formal. My family and I live on the nearby Kitsap Peninsula; we use magic to hide our presence from others." People walking by threw him a strange look. "Don't worry, they think we're LARPing." whispered Robby, just low enough for only Alice to hear. "Roll with it and we'll be fine."

"Luxia? Hmmm," Alice was disarmed by this new vampire's charm and went into thought. Why didn't she tell me?! "Um, so, I guess you know about us?" she asked, referring to the Cullens. "And you still haven't answered my question: Who are you? What do you want?"

"Yes; la familia Cullen. You're pretty well-known, actually; I do have other contacts in Volterra." He bowed politely. "Oh, excuse me; mi nomme Roberto. I heard about others like myself in the area, so I came to check it out. I hope you don't mind, Miss Alice." A large, African man was almost instantly by his side, followed by an attractive Hispanic woman. "Solomon, Carmilla...." said Robby, turning back. "Why are you here?"
"Sorry, Master Roberto...." said the African man, Solomon, "but we were a bit worried. You were gone for a few days."

(Solomon and Carmilla are extra members of Robby's coven... they don't play a major role)

"Like yourself?" Alice asked quizzically. "You mean vegetarians or vampires?" I really hope he means vegetarians, because we don't need any more carnivorous vampires, she thought darkly. "Um, shall we go somewhere more...private to talk?" Alice glanced around at all the passersby. "I don't care if they think we're LARPing or not, we must be careful, you know."

"Vegitarian." replied Robby, smiling before turning to others. "Just go home, dears. I'll be back later." he kissed both on the chek, looking back at Alice. "Your plce?"

"Um, sure, walk with me," Alice began walking in the direction of the Cullen house. "So what brought on this unusual sociability? It's bizarre, you know? Mind if I call you Bob?"

"Well, I'm just used to people, ya know? And if you must use a nickname, call me Robby."

"Understandable," Alice nodded before, "What's wrong with Bob? It's a respectable name."

""I just never liked it." said Robby, shrugging. "And if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? Humanly, of course..."

"Humanly, I'm nineteen. And yourself? You seem kind of young...fourteen?" Alice guessed, even though she couldn't guess other people's ages to save her life.

"Yeah." sighed Robby, eyes downcast. "I'm eternally a teen." he shrugged, looking up. "But I gotta stay positive... keep looking ahead!"

"Hey I'm eternally a teen too," Alice reminded him. "And I was so close to escaping teendom too," she sighed, then brightened. "Hey, we're almost there!" she pointed out the Cullen house. "Shall we run? No humans are around..."

"See if you can keep up!" said Robby, throwing up a peace sign. 'Peace, babe!" He sprinted off toward the large mansion, taking suck large bounds it lookked like he was flying.

"Hey!" Alice laughed, then began to run. Sometimes her pixie-like frame came in handy, and she flew behind Robby, managing to keep up with him. "Haha, that was fun," she giggled as she opened the front door.

"Yeah.. haven't met anyone who could keep up with mein a while!" agreed RObby, giggling a bit. He walked inside, kicking off his shoes before putting them in a corner.

Alice smiled and sat down on the couch. "So....what do you want to talk about?" This is fun, Robby seems really nice, she thought to herself as she gazed out the window.

"So, what kind of guys you like?" asked RObby, smiling at Alice. "Oh, and I'm not coming onto you, FYI. I'm gay."

"Haha, nice warning," Alice giggled. "Well, I'm a sucker for blonds. Especially Southern gentleman types. They totally turn me on," she explained, describing her Jasper, unknown to Robby. "And yourself?"

"Your boy sounds liek my type, actually." said Robby, smiling. "But I'm more of a sucker for muscles. Curly hair, too... and redheads. My first boyfriend was a redhead."

"Oh, nice, maybe I should keep you away from my brothers," Alice teased. "You'd love them," she laughed at Emmett's and Edward's possible reactions to Robby.

"And let me guess; tehy're all straight and taken?" asked Robby, leaning back. "I can NEVER win!"
